My grandfather called a family meeting to say he wanted to die


He said he had just given up and was ready to go and was waiting for it. He was straight up about it for sure. Lived another 14 years after that.

My wife's grandfather basically did the same thing but had lost his ability to communicate in English. Once he was quite ready though the English was pretty clear. "Isn't there a doctor or somebody who can come and give me a shot and just get this over with? I hate living."
